Silicone and acrylic renders  transform virtually any substrate, giving dull and tired looking structures a new lease of life.

Light weight thin coat render systems are a suitable alternative to cement render and far superior in performance and durability.

They are a form of polymer render applied in two coats with the first coat (base coat) incorporating a nylon reinforced mesh, with a total thickness between 8mm and 12mm.

    This property was in a poor state before we started so we applied a thin coat anti crack render system over the external render and finished with a coloured silicone top coat. Looking a lot fresher now.

    • Project Showcase: Lag Birragh, Onchan Head

      This is a stunning project that we have recently completed for McArds. The house is situated on Onchan Head with spectacular views and provided a wonderful showcase for the Wetherby Product.

      This Lightweight render system chosen specifically for this property as the flexible anti-crack formulation and ultra-violet resistant pigments of a silicone render allow for large areas to be seamlessly rendered with perfect colour consistency and are suitable for the adverse weather that Onchan Head can face through the winter.

      UPDATE

      After nearly 4 years we are back in Onchan for some alterations and it’s still looking good; testament to Wetherby’s Light weight render systems,

      For a new build there’s not a settlement crack in sight.

      • Project Showcase: Bradda Head, Port Erin

        A vast improvement to this lovely house using Wetherby thin coat render system

        This is a great project we have just finished on Bradda Head, Our clients wanted to do something with there house as it was very tired looking.

        We cleaned and washed down the existing dash and applied a wash of Algaecide solution to kill any algae. Next we applied our Wetherby thin coat render system which uses Alkali Resistant Fibre Mesh.
        Finishing with our Mineral Epsicoat render.

        We have also replaced the fascia and soffits and renewed the guttering and down spouts.
