Marmorino
Interior & Exterior
Commercial work has two requirements a house does not. It has to survive being walked past by hundreds of people, and it has to look like the business rather than like a finish out of a brochure. Both point the same way: a hand-applied surface, made on site, that nobody else has.
We have worked in showrooms, offices, hair and beauty salons, a chiropody surgery, a childcare centre, a gym and a barbers, as well as on the outside of commercial buildings. Marmorino and MicroCement do most of the heavy lifting — hard-wearing, seamless, and quiet enough to sit behind whatever the business puts in front of it. Stencilling is where a logo or a motif goes into the wall rather than onto it.
One thing worth knowing: cork is not only an exterior product. Sprayed inside at about 8mm it cuts sound between offices by up to 12 decibels and brings the heating bill down at the same time — no stud, no boarding, and no floor space lost.
Ranked by how often we have actually used them here.
Bar top and feature wall in Ilumitextra black and bronze for a new bar at Ocean Views in Onchan Park.
Black Marmorino through the Haus Kitchens Bedrooms Bathrooms showrooms — silver wax and stencils in one area, a bronze finish in another, standing behind their own displays.

A cold spot by the rear door of the Old Market Hall was growing mould. ThermoCork insulated the surface so it stopped being cold enough for moisture to condense on.

A new bar in Onchan built up in MicroCement and Venetian plaster, finished in a rich textured bronze with a tie-dye foil laid over it.
