Lovely cottage in Laxey where we applied our ThermoCork render. The benefits are great thermal values and a sustainable, breathable, stunning long lasting finish.

The before pictures tell you why it needed doing. The cream render was weather-streaked right down the front, and the side wall had gone green from the eaves to the ground. Cork is breathable, so the wall can dry out rather than hold the wet in.

On a cottage like this one the detail matters as much as the walls. The porch columns, their caps and the lintel over the door all carry the same coat, and the pipework and cable down the front went the same way, so the elevation reads as one surface.
