Grey & Silver Glitter with Holographic

A lovely bit of grey and silver, with just a touch of holographic.

Grey is the safe choice in a bedroom, and it is usually the flat one. This is grey that does something: a grey and silver glitter with a small amount of holographic flake worked through it, so that most of the time you read a plain warm grey wall, and then the light moves and there is colour in it.

"Just a touch" is the operative phrase. Holographic flake shows every colour in the spectrum depending on where you stand, which in quantity would be far too much for a room you sleep in. Used sparingly it does something subtler — it stops the wall ever looking quite the same twice, without ever announcing itself.

The wall lights either side of the bed are doing the real work here. Any raking light across a flake finish sets it off, which is why these finishes belong in rooms with lamps and wall lights rather than a single ceiling pendant.
