Coastal property with lightweight render system.
A stunning project completed for McArds. The house is situated on Onchan Head with spectacular views, and the exposed coastal position called for a robust external finish. We applied the Wetherby lightweight render system with a silicone top coat, chosen for its flexible anti-crack formulation and ultra-violet resistant pigments.
This system is an EcoRend product, formerly sold as Wetherby.

After nearly 4 years we are back in Onchan for some alterations and it's still looking good; testament to Wetherby's lightweight render systems. For a new build there's not a settlement crack in sight.
A new build settles. That is what new builds do, and it is usually the render that shows it first. Four winters on Onchan Head, and this one had not moved.
Situated on Onchan Head with its spectacular views, Lag Birragh provides a wonderful showcase for the Wetherby product.
This lightweight render system was chosen specifically for this property because the flexible anti-crack formulation and ultra-violet resistant pigments of a silicone render allow for large areas to be seamlessly rendered with perfect colour consistency, and are suitable for the adverse weather that Onchan Head can face through the winter.
