A one-off project, with a great team of tradesmen.
Venetian Plaster Company have had the privilege to be part of a one-off project, and to work with a great team of skilled tradesmen who have delivered a stunning finish to the new multi award winning Drewry's in Tynwald Mills' courtyard.
We plastered the walls to give them a distressed concrete look, and the hand-made counter has been plastered with our Crystal Quartz with glitter. We also added some products to the RSJ to make it look old and rusty.
Three different jobs, then, and all three meant to disappear into the room rather than announce themselves. The walls had to read as bare structure without being cold; the steel had to look as though it had been there for a century; and the counter — a sculptural, stepped thing with a planter built into the end of it — had to be wrapped in stone by hand, every edge and every return, with no seam to give the game away.
