Cottage Wall, Wetherby Thin Coat Render

Taking the old render off wasn't hard. That was the whole problem.

A nice little job on a cottage wall where the weather has had a big impact. You can see it in the before picture — the render blistered, lifted and peeling away in sheets, with the wall showing through underneath. It had already let go. We just finished the job for it.

With the old render off, we applied our Wetherby thin coat render system with a silicone top coat. It goes on flat and even, the reveals are kept square, and it's carried right down to the gravel at the base of the wall.

Up close the top coat has a fine, even texture to it. Square on, the wall is simply one clean white plane again, with the slate roof and the black gutter sitting over it.
