Bringing the colours of the garden indoors.

A conservatory taken on to bring in the rich colours of the garden and the surrounding views: the ceiling in white with gold flakes, and the walls to follow in our natural crystal quartz — a light beige with gold glitter through it.

The ceiling went on by gun, which is the only sensible way to get flake into a coved edge, and the films below were shot mid-job. It is worth watching for the flakes alone: they come out of the gun like confetti and settle on everything, including the man holding it.

And one for the client.

The same afternoon, we let our client spray her old picture frame to give it a new lease of life. It came out on the patio, got the same white-and-gold treatment as her ceiling, and went back in matching the room. It's the kind of thing a finish like this makes easy — once the gun is loaded, an old frame costs nothing to transform.
